It's weird, because of its closeness to trendier parts of London, a lot of people move there because of its cheap rents, especially parts of Stratford - which by and large aren't too bad.

At the moment, the areas within Newham that are in the most decline are Beckton, parts of Plaistow and Forest Gate, West Ham and Manor Park. You do get students staying in these areas, but the rise of drug related crimes there has made it difficult even for them to stay.

Plaistow and East Ham have made headlines recently as centres of recruitment for muslim terrorists.

Sarramkrops right about Dagenham though. That's even worse! Although architecturally It's not quite as grim as Newham.

Lunix IX! Christ. They need Geldof and Bono to come in there and sort things out pretty fuckin' quick I reckon.
