the way verbs are conjugated in spanish, french, etc is almost completely standardized save for a few irregular verbs. also there are things called false cognates (two words in separate languages that sound the same but mean different things rather than the same thing as they usually do) that may confuse non-native speakers when trying to learn english. the way verbs are conjugated in english is completely random, unlike almost any other language, which would make it difficult to learn.
