ive lived here for 11 years and i still get that. i'd be like "kama ze oleh?" and they'd be like"fifeteen shekel" so i tell them that i understand hebrew. and i know how annoying it is to toursits who try to talk the language and learn it, and people try to talk to them in english cause they think that americans cant deal with their language.
