MAN OR ASTRO-MAN? "EXPERIMENT ZERO"
Touch and Go, 1996

Easily one of the most consistent bands ever, you can't really go wrong with any of their studio albums, EP's, or splits (there's a few tour only releases of just weird noises and sci-fi sounds that aren't that great, but hey). This album, however, had the most variety and the strongest production... Even though there's plenty of good surf bands, I can't think of any that were so rocking and forward-thinking while not sacrificing their surf roots. It helps that Brian Causey (also of the excellent Causey Way and the amazing Servotron) is such an amazing guitarist, but the whole band is tight as hell. Strangely, my favorite songs are the few that have vocals on them. Highly reccomended!!

Also, this is excellent:

Tabs to most of their songs.
