this comes from one of the most incredible french anthropo/zoological documentaries of the 70's (of course the sig is added... ) called "koko le gorille qui parle"
it talks about a female gorilla named koko and her hippie (and very beautiful!) attendant who teaches her to communicate with (how do you say?) hand-gestures in somewhere in the sunny california
it's incredible how the gorilla learns to communicate, to lie, to joke...
in the end they compare koko's intelligence to a six years old child.
I don't know what happened later, but the intention was to make koko "marry" with another this-way-educated gorilla, in order to study a family of animals that communicates with a language comprehensible by humans.
it's cool because in the end they approach ethical questions (very advanced for those years) like "what are the rights of these animals who have self conscience?"
