i think its really interesting how the ideals of beauty change according to that which is hard to achieve. back in the day (like Elizabethan times and shit) it was considered attractive to be pale and chubby, because yr average joe was out in the fields all the time and half starved, so was skinny and tan. But now being chubby and pale means you've been sitting at an office desk all year like everyone else, which is hardly sexy, is it?
