I think you've reached the age where age difference doesn't matter much anymore. Obviously 3 years is a big difference when one person is 13 and the other is 10, or 17 and 14, because those are formative years and a lot goes on in them. By now 3 years either way for you is A-OK legally and morally, I suppose, but is it a good idea? Some 17 year olds have their heads screwed on properly and some are still fools. Work out which one you have, age is no longer an issue anymore. Personally I don't think anyone should be allowed to be in a relationship until they are 35, but you know, that's just me.
