Simply put, the most challenging, uncompromising, insane, ridiculous, complex, and MUSICAL album I've probably ever heard. Made with nothing but acoustic instruments, it took 3 years to write these 40+ minutes, and not a single bit is improvised. Sounds like the most complex Harry Partch works being covered by an avant-progressive ensemble who decided to play jazz for this evening. If you're the least bit interested in avant-prog, modern classical, free jazz, or you just want to hear a band that makes RUINS sound like easy-listening, give this a shit. I'll upload the other album later.

"Note for note, there is more musical information in just a few seconds of Nail than some artists manage to express in an entire discography." - Brad Glanden, All About Jazz

"...writing tightened all the way down to the last belt-hole—ultra-meticulous, intensely obsessional, and reliably maniacal." - Stephanie Fourger

"...a true Art, striking for its freshness and depth alike ...." - Progressor, progressive rock zine

"A 40-minute orgy of beautiful dissonance! ....an absorbing, lively, but challenging piece of music." - Lord chimp

"Woodson’s autonomous approach to jazz dwells within a world of its own ....certainly one to watch!" - Glenn Astrita
