Yeah, But V was only a guest instructor in the writers workshop. I don't consider those real teachers. Those guest workshop teachers are usually not profs at Iowa, they're just kind of writers-in-residence who spend their days bullshitting the wanna be writer kids and tearing apart the kids' first novels and such.
Morrel on the other hand was a real full-fledged professor who taught undergraduates in literature classes. I mean that was his profession first and foremost at the time--English professor. He only became a novelist after First Blood was published in 73.
