True Melly Story - Me and some mates went up to Trafalgar Square on New Year's Eve in 1991 to celebrate the coming in of 1992. Needless to say we were of course very hammered. On the way to our night bus (walking along the Thames to Waterloo), I had one traffic cone on my head and one traffic cone on each arm, doing my Traffic Cone Man dance. A bus full of drunken partyers passed by, and they ALL leaned out of the window and cheered me. I of course thanked my public my giving them a big, regal Traffic Cone wave, and did my dance twice as fast. Ah, youth!
