My friends Eet have some piano guts in their studio, which is totally cool. You can bang on the strings without any keys. Prepared piano where you fuck with the strings is essentially what SY do with guitars, and it's actually a lot easier to do than with a guitar.
I'm sure Kim was just like, "But what would
I do??" And Thurston probably suggested she play dulcimer, and that was it for the whole idea...
