i hadnt listened to him in a while. but recently i stubled upon an article on him on the internet and i pulled out some of my doyle records. fucking phenomenal music. free jazz the way i like it; fast, confrontational, extreme, and violent. i especially love the records alabama feeling, the songwriter, live at the cooler, plays and sings from the songbook, and all the arthur doyle electro accoustic ensemble records. out of all the still active free jazz musicians, hes definitley a contender to be my favorite (along with braxton, damon smith, peter evans, rashied ali, some others) hes just sooooooo rad.
