As far as really finding some semblance of God, if you know anything about me at all you'll know I'll suggest looking to the New Testament, Kierkegaard, or Dostoyevsky. You are a Western male, you know. If you're too close-minded for Christianity than go for the I-Ching or Tao Te Ching. Moreover, put some time in for silent meditation.
