I love that flick, Jacob's Ladder - I haven't watched it in years.
Akira actually messed with my head. I watched it over and over - about five times in the first weekend that I saw it.

others in that category are Videodrome, and when I was a kid, Time Bandits really made me think in ways differently than I had before. When I was a kid Altered States weirded me out - now I think that flick sucks. It has too much of a hippie ending. The Meaning of Life helped me along in questioning religion.

The Wall was just entertainment to me - no mind fucking.
