Sounds like this former aid perhaps doesn't sound like a clueless idiot in front of the camera (couldn't watch the video as school computers have no sound) which is apparently rare asset in McCain's campaign nowadays.
Now the trooper thing is conspiratorial enough to understand but this aid really just sounds like a qualified staffer being brought back to defend Palin without being a mediahead in exchange for being apart of the campaign. It sounds like she left the governor's office because her career was dying in Alaska but came back when, out of the blue, she has a chance to get involved in the presidential election.
Revision: Not a conspiracy. Not a promotion. More like a career move.
