If a category 5 hurricane were to hit in the same spot as Ike just did, downtown houston (45 miles away from the coast and about 50-65 feet above sea level) wouod have 2 feet of salt water in it. TWO FEET that far in. imagine the horror of that!

There are around 5 million people living in harris county and th surrounding areas. a real big monster fuck hurricane would make katrina look like a weaknut cousin.

I'd still much rather live here than in LA or san fra n waiting for a 8.5 earthquake to destroy everything. Earthquakes are far far worse damage and destroy everything underground as asell as aboveground, starting countless fires and just apocalyptic devastation.

maybe we can get cantank to start yelling at those "dumbasses" to move, huh?
