I have to admit, Thurston Moore has achieved many things I aspire to: having an incredibly innovative band, a marriage that has lasted for decades, the ability to do creatively whatever he wants and play music with all sorts of amazing people, and constantly proving that you don't have to be an asshole to do any of that.

I've actually done o.k. with the marriage and band on my own terms, but we had to figure out that they had to be separate entities. I've given up on talking my wife into playing with us. It always works out great musically but makes our relationship stressed in ways it doesn't need.
