At this point in time you have to accept the truth as it is contained and preserved, because outside of the Bible, Jesus does not exist. the handful of extra-biblical historical sources are perhaps even more open to corrupt than the bible, because unlike gospel accounts which have been very accuratley preserved and proven so under immense scrutiny, writings by Josephus and Thallus and Tactis and even the mention in the Talmud of Jesus are less accepted as historical fact and are more open to have been altered, especially by those who have an agenda to add "proof" to faith, something which is impossible. Jesus is a character of faith, and as a historical figure is virtually possible to identify truly. This is why he became a religion and not socio-political movement, as it is a declaration of faith, not reason.
