And doing another Dune isn't really a remake anyway in that it's an adaptation of the novel. Otherwise every time someone makes another Dracula film they'd be accused of trying to remake Nosferatu.

To be honest, I'm surprised it hasn't already happened. I'm sure some Hollywood studio head is busy right now trying to talk Mark Wahlberg into taking the lead role.
