I didn't even know they'd ever planned one. That'd be the most ludicrously doomed-to-fail project ever. I mean it's hardly a particularly interesting story.

I agree. I always thought Robocop was a great idea but wasn't that great a film. It would definitely be improved and would, if anything, benefit from the full-on Transformers-style CGI treatment.
