Oh fuck yeah! This is totally true. I think of a lot of it is her past history. One of the first thing she ever said to me was: "I date assholes and then I make them cry." It's weird too because we lived 6 hours apart but our collective world is kind of small. My friend from 6th grade until now lives across the hall from her brother at college and several of our friends are mutual, despite not knowing it until we met. Eww, now I'm gushing like a 14-year old girl. shit.
