My mom threw away my first pair about 3 years ago after about 4 years of wear. they were the original black/white thread. I had sharpie the white sides green, people had wrote on the laces, at one time they had "SY" on toes, with one letter on each toe, latter just painted black. They were close to as trashed as my black/blue. The right current shoe has a one-inch hole ShoeGooed together right now.
