A .22 is actually a really nasty bullet despite its low power, since it isn't jacketed, if it hits something like, say, your ribcage, it can split, ricocheting everywhere inside you.

yeah of course, i wouldn't shoot myself my self with a .22 and expect to be ok, but for a suicide attempt i'd go for something with a bit more kick
