Because I think they are. I ain't saying that they are better than most, I just say that I think they're better. They touch me more. Songs like "When You Sleep", "To Here Knows When", "Lose My Breath", "No More Sorry", "You Made Me Realise" reach to my ears a sonic perfection which no other shoegaze band has reached.
My brother listen almost EXCLUSIVELY (and when I say exclusively, it is) to shoegaze bands, so I have a pretty clear opinion about it.
