it is derived from anne, the 'ke' is a dialect way to indicate something small or young in flemish. so basically it means 'little anne'. that's why many people think it's not my real name, but a nickname.

There were thousands of Dutch emigrants leaving for New Zealand in the years after World War II (and even in recent years it's still one of the more popular emigration destinations), so I guess it's not unlikely that it's someone of Dutch origin/heritage.
