Since his now infamous
Nobel Prize acceptance speech just before his death his fame as a playwright has been largely eclipsed by his anti-War stance. But you still can't beat his plays like The Homecoming, The Dumb Waiter and The Birthday Party. That he died on Christmas Eve genuinely depressed me.
