I don't know anything about watchmen, but I've been hearing a lot of good things about the graphic novel and have noticed the anticipation for this movie. I've read that it is about superheroes. Are we talking Superman and tights or the Punisher or the Silver Surfer or James Bond or the guy that landed the jet in the hudson?

When I was younger I didn't mind comics (usually marvel, I liked amazing spiderman) but I hated the movies. I can't think of a superhero movie that comes anywhere near a top 5, except the first two burton batman movies.

I guess my question is how well this is blended with reality. I read briefly it is in cold war era. That is a good start. Does realism mesh professionally with fantastic in this series?
