I don't quite think it's superior to Goo, but I definitely appreciate having it as a companion piece. It's WAY too ragged in places, though, and not in a 'cool lo-fi way' but in a 'oops haven't written a guitar part for this yet' way. I know people think Goo is a little polished, so maybe something in between would have been neat... then again, I think the album proper does sound pretty great, particularly the deluxe vinyl reissue. The sea of guitar overdubs actually compliment the songs, and that slight gloss over everything really isn't so bad...
