I like my job. Nothing much is expected of me. I can go home and chill for eight or nine hours every day. No blackberry, no calls from Dave in sales, no working at the office all night. I don't take on debt because I don't like to be indebted to anyone and I certainly don't like some tit with a business diploma from St Martin's College above me. I started out on that route and it sent me mental, so I work in a secure (though underpaid) low responsibility job feeding lawyers sandwiches.

The important things to me are reading, music, visiting galleries, taking photographs, being in control of my own time. I grew up in one of those households where dad worked a very high-powered job away from home just to keep my mum in her pretty little house with her three holidays a year. Now they have two houses at opposite ends of the country, five or six cars and never see each other except at weekends. They don't read, haven't got into any new music since they were sixteen and are completely ignorant about absolutely everything that isn't to do with the manipulation of money.

Now I'm sounding really bitter. They don't even visit when they're in my city! Someone hug me!

Nah, I'm alright
