Doom Generation is one of the best movies ever; definitely in the top 10 most entertaining film I've ever seen... though overall it's nowhere near as good as Araki's classics Totally Fucked Up, Splendor, Living End, Nowhere, and Mysterious Skin. If you want to talk about unneccessary films, watch Smiley Face. But yeah, Doom Generation is a classic, I first saw it when I was 14 and it blew my mind!
Anyway, speaking of Gibby, everyone should watch the movie Zero. It's about one guy in an apartment, fucking a mannequin and ranting weirdly for 2 hours. The director of it was given acid at a Butthole Surfers concert and he became convinced Gibby was God and he had this insane acid trip and he made Zero with the images from his mind. The lead actor looks exactly like Gibby. It's one of the craziest/best movies ever.
Anyway, Applegate. Yeah.
