One day when we all look back on our generation of bands, someone very wise will stand up and say, "the only band you could really truly trust throughout their entire career was The Fall."
Why? Simple, because as long as Mark E. Smith has air in his lungs and a chip on his shoulder, he will be making extraordinary sounding records and giving extremely odd live appearances. And like the late great John Peel said, the reason he always loved the Fall so much was because on every album (and there have been many) they are always different and always the same, and this dear punter is something to be celebrated.
