If you can't accept that "out in 16 months" is better than "we will accept no less than Total Victory," you've got your head so far up your ass you won't even be able to see your own white guilt.
Expecting immediacy from government or military is ridiculous. Sometimes "the best you'll get" is what you have to live with.
