I don't know the names but some of the videos they used to show on Channel U (British hiphop/grime channel) were awful. I became fascinated with them.
Whereas a clichéd US video would show the gang inside a nightclub, with models doing a striptease, intercut with footage of them driving a limo, waving money - these had them rapping outside a petrol-station at 2am, with unattractive nasty-looking women doing a graceless dance, intercut with footage of them piled into a Ford Mondeo nodding to the sound of the tapedeck. But they did the arrogant poses and hand-signals all the same, which made it rather tragic.
Also is it me or does every British hiphop group have a token obese friend who is in every video?
