Yeah, this is another thing I object to - just because you've "been enlightened by the weird and wonderful sounds of the underground" doesn't invalidate someone else's appreciation of a band. I don't really like Modest Mouse, but I don't understand why they come in for so much more criticism than Caroliner (shit) Thinking whatsit (shite) Wavves (one great tune, otherwise shit) etc. It's not that my opinion is sovereign, it's the sanctimony of people with very similar tastes.
