Oh Man!
I have the Criterion Collection of Brakhage films, which includes Dog Star Man. I only ever saw this once so far, but not a day goes by when I don't think about it. It was so far ahead of its time.....so otherworldly, yet pure and simple at the same time.
Some of his late films make me want to puke, and I don't mean that I hate them. They are just disorienting if you have not accustomed yourself to this kind of thing. (And, who has? Hahaha....)
Get the Criterion. (Another Brakhage collection is on the way.)
