A matter of some small and insignificant controversy: The relationship of the internet to grammar and syntactical deviations, with specific reference to this board.
I personally get moderately-to-quite irritable at the proliferation of poor linguistic expositions. I realise this is probably incredibly irritating, and hence I rarely raise my reservations. I do, however, severely dwindle in my appreciation of a poster who persistently post in a lacklustre and poorly spelt/ structured fashion. There are those who transgress said pedantry - myself, obviously, and the others who use anti-grammatical devices in the name of comedy.
Generally though, I should like those who find themselves irritated to make themselves known herewith. I should also like those who find the pedantry irritating to try and provide some kind of defence. The likelehood of this defence being in any way articulate is small - it may, however, be amusing.
*Edit - yes, thanks for pointing out I spelt 'palimpsest' wrong. Wanker.
