screens can be a little expensive at first, but they are worth it. You should be able to pick up something around A4 for $30.. and A3 for maybe $70. My screen has lasted me 7 years + now without needing the silk/nylon changed. I've printed over a hundred shirts and such since then.

The more expensive part is the inks really.. but I just have primary colours, white, black, and a nice purple. You can buy a lot of really nice metallic pigments now to add that turn out awesome too. I've never bought photo emulsion either, becuase THAT is ridiculous expensive, and would mean a lot more wear on my screen. I just stencil everything and mask and block edges.


so yeh, I say spend the money on a screen. It will last you a lot longer than most art supplies you pay for..
