##*^@^% I've never used an apple, what are you meant to use for a bowl there? I just googled and found tinfoil.. surely almost just as bad as using a can in teh first place.
but.. same with plastic bottles and all the awful cancer causing chemicals in those..
nothing is safe. except yes maybe pyrex, or ceramic. safe-er
