agreed, I do love the cover for his polygon window record surfing on sine waves though. also on a beach tip add on the beach by neil young. james brown in the jungle groove (no beach involved here), end hits by fugazi (not a great record at all but a truly beautiful cover I'm sure you'll all agree), outkast stankonia, bitches brew is obvs' amazing and all those kitschy easy listening covers from oxfam. virtually every jazz record ever has an amazing cover and makes most rock iconography look silly and dully unimaginative (although i do love the uk cover of the first strokes album), seripop are really great though and must be the exceptions that prove the rule.
