I don't post there, I think I have one post in the whole year I've had a Last.fm.
Other than that I use it to see what other people are listening to, and when I didn't post here for that little while, I would say hello to people through Last.fm.
You only encounter music snobs if you go looking, really.

I was kidding a bit.
I deleted my last.fm mostly because mine, too, had a lot of synch problems and I had really fallen out of caring about I or what others were listening to so I just deleted it. To an extent, my last.fm was casting a shadow of my capricious listening habits. While certainly I shouldn't care, in practice I figured it was easier to just be done with it.
