The latter period of the Simpsons still gets me. [puts wanker hat on] The thing with the Simpsons is that it has transcended its meagre beginnings as a moderately amusing cartoon, into the so-called 'golden era' (series 4 onwards) and into something approaching a proper social artform. It's not as funny any more, but it still tells you more about popular culture from a mysteriously ambiguous standpoint than the rest of the media combined. [takes wanker hat off]
