I sort of agree (though to hate a show that much is a waste of precious energy). However, Seth McFarlane says, "I'm still fuckin' rich." And I would have to concur.
SNL is actually on it's way up right now. Some excellent talent came in this past season, and Tina Fey left. So it should rock next year. However, as far as overstaying its welcome, I'd have to say that's not possible. If you rewatch the original few seasons and consider them to be funny by today's standards, you're simply nostalgiac and delusional. Which is fine. But the point is that SNL is a staple of American culture, regardless of how bad it does.
