Spirituality around here has been co-opted by the wave of born-again "worship" Christianity. My friend plays guitar in their contemporary rock church. He pretty much hates every music that I would describe as spiritual.
I think meditative drone stuff would make more sense for spirituality that is decidedly less contemporarily western.
