Damn. I knew I should have worn a band T today.

I have to answer this by saying I am wearing, instead of a band T, a high school athletics T that I inherited from my daughter. I didn't even go to this high school, and neither did my daughter, but when people ask I can reply with dumb things like, "Yeah, I had a full athletics scholarship there for four years."

Kegmama, I too work in a crappy corporate office, but I like to push it. I have tenure, though. So I wear the occassional band T and shorts to work, especially days it's hot outside. What are they gonna do, fire me for wearing comfortable clothes? I'd take them to court on that one. And at 51, I have a hard time with anyone telling me what I can and cannot wear! Especially any supposed "superior" who's younger than me. Grrr...

One of the higher-ups here in the office (not in my supervisory chain) goes by me in her prim little suit and in that snotty kind of backhanded compliment way goes, "Oh, you look comfortable," like what are you wearing that to work for, ya know? I cooly replied, "Well, trust me, I am all about comfortable."
