Find a super easy song to play and find the tabs. Online tabs are an amazing resource.

The first song I learned how to play was About A Girl by Nirvana. Haha, what was it, Am, G Am, G ? over and over. Haha. But thats where it starts.

Do it for yourself, you'll feel so much better. The learning experience wont be stapled to anyone but you.

yeh I do that sometimes, but I'll go for a few weeks without playing and forget everything I've learned and it takes me a half hour to try and remember it all. It has never began to feel natural.

.. which makes it so hard for someone like me to stick with because I either get something straight away (or make super fast progress) or I dump it all together. I think the only thing that has made me never walk away from it ocmpletely is just loving music and wishing so badly I didn't suck ass at everything but rhythm. haha.
