That's kind of my point. He even calls himself a selfish asshole. So he tries to make up for it by directing himself at something productive. That's all. I think he's honestly into the Africa thing for good reasons.
I've tried not to like him, and you can say what you want about how effective he actually is, but I just can't get a bad vibe from the guy.
