If the healthcare a person receives is determined by the money that they earn, that's a problem. I don't know the American healthcare system so I can't say if that's what's going on there. Even with a National Health Service it's sort of going on here so I can only assume it's more widespread in the US.

My point is that European people, and especially British people, like to get on their high horse about healthcare, particularly when discussing it with Americans - regardless of the fact that our system, while it appears just, is deeply flawed on a practical, day-to-day level. I worked for a subsidiary of the NHS for five years and any country that tries to model their system on ours is in for a very bumpy ride.
