^^ exactly, these "hate" threads are just other ways to talk about music. Nobody is personally attacked, here. People who even like these bands can use the opportunity to say what they DONT like, so that not every conversation has to be about glowing adoration. Like, exploration, you know? Remember that night you made out with that guy? Like that.

It's just plain fun to wreck on a band that usually gets a lot of attention. Sometimes that attention just doesnt seem warranted. DISCUSSION ?
Suchfriends' ripping on the grateful dead is cool because he loves them but can see how they can be skull-breakingly annoying. Go suchfriends for not being a defensive twat about his musical tastes!
