ermmm I read this thread incorrectly.. I started with 'what other kind of internet is there?' /... but now I understand..

the computer internet has affected me greatly. It has provided hours and hours of distraction when I'd rather be somewhere else. It has helped me find out lots about new film/music/art/'stuff'/^^ yes porn too, that I otherwise might not have known about. People. Definately people. Over a period of uh, 10 yrs? I've met probably 10 to 15 people IRL who I've known online first.. probably more if I really sat down and counted. It's usually pretty rad to meet internet people. There have been a few nutjobs but mostly people online are just normal people irl.. If you've known them for a while the crazy risk factor goes down somewhat. If I took all of those people out of my life.. there would be a LOT of memories missing. I nearly moved countries for one of them.

flo slo san.. does not count as internet to me.. He is just bestie in another country who I have not seen since the last lifetime.

Not sure about negatively... maybe some time wasting..? There have been some fucking retards and abusive people.. but, you can always just turn it off.
