I think the band has got slightly stale on record (I wasn't impressed with The Eternal but seem to be very much in the minority...) but individually are still very 'cool', though in different ways. Thurston has tirelessly brought obscure scenes/bands to the fore, Lee is involved in writing poetry more and more, Kim is involved with art and Steve Shelley is the go-to guy for 'awesome older drummer who knows how to play weird shit' for a spate of psych-folk sort of bands, plus stuff like Text of Light
